Editing, proofreading and copyediting are usually expecting to be the same thing. If you are a translator, you already must have did proofread of your own work. In fact, genuine translators may proofread their work, and don??t require a fresh pair of eyes. But what will happen when you are given something that requires proofreading itself, or it even needs editing, then you as translator can not fullfill all the needs of the text and will come to know more differences about all the three.
